Penske Recognized as Top Transportation Company for Women
Penske has been recognized by the Women in Trucking Association’s (WIT) list of Top Companies for Women to Work For in Transportation for the fifth consecutive year. New this year, Penske is joining a prestigious list dubbed “The Elite 30,” featuring the top 30 companies that received the greatest support during the industry-wide voting period.
Each year, WIT celebrates transportation companies that demonstrate their support for gender diversity through an inclusive corporate culture, competitive compensation, quality benefits and equitable opportunities for development and career advancement. Nominations are validated by an industry-wide vote involving more than 27,000 transportation professionals.
This November, Penske is a returning Diamond Sponsor and exhibitor at WIT’s Accelerate! Conference and Expo in Dallas, Texas. Penske will be recognized for its Top Companies and Elite 30 designations, and Christiane Meyer, director of strategic accounts for Penske Logistics, will be recognized as a Top Woman to Watch in Transportation. Sarah Smith, senior vice president of human resources for Penske Transportation Solutions and vice chair of the WIT board, will join fellow transportation leaders on a panel titled “Corporate Culture: The Ultimate Strategic Asset.” Penske will be exhibiting at Booth 1010.
Penske recently renewed its gold-level partnership with WIT, which works to advance gender diversity in the trucking industry, address obstacles for women and promote the accomplishments of female transportation professionals.
