Penske Logistics to Present at Penn State Supply Chain Event
Penske Logistics will present at theAligning Supply Chain Organizations program May 5 at The Pennsylvania State University, State College, Pennsylvania.
Bill Eisele, a strategic account executive based at Penske’s Beachwood, Ohio, location, will speak to professionals in the public and private industries who are working toward their Executive Supply Chain Certification. Co-sponsored by the Smeal College of Business' Center for Supply Chain Research and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), the program will cover various supply chain topics, including establishing collaboration baselines, successful sales and operations planning, and collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment.
Eisele will present with Scott Garrod, regional distribution manager of the Central Region at Whirlpool, on the successful collaboration between Penske and Whirlpool. Eisele said the companies’ strong 3PL partnership stems from good communication, close collaboration and solid system connectivity.
“As far as the scope of services and the depth of connectivity between the two organizations, it’s probably one of the strongest shipper 3PL relationships in North America, if not globally,” Eisele said.
Eisele appreciates the opportunity to participate in the program.
“I enjoy interacting with professionals to talk about research, networking with students and prospective associates, and helping with professional growth opportunities for people who are looking to hear from industry experts.”
