Penske Logistics Recognized for Green Supply Chain Initiatives
For the seventh consecutive year, Supply & Demand Chain Executive has awarded Penske Logistics with the Green Supply Chain Award. The annual award listing recognizes companies making green or sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy and are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals within the global supply chain.
"We continue to equip our dedicated trucking fleet with the latest fuel-saving and emission-reducing technologies and safety features available," said Mike Costanza, Penske director of environmental services. "This award is a testament to the work our teams do every day to drive sustainability in our fleet and logistics operations."
"Every year our Green Supply Chain Award recipients demonstrate what is achievable in supply chain sustainability," says John R. Yuva, editor for Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "It is clear that while sustainability is not a new concept, there is always more we can accomplish…The entries serve as best-in-class examples for other companies to model and create value for their supply chains."
The full list of Green Supply Chain Award winners is available online, at www.SDCExec.com, and will be featured in the December 2019 print issue of the magazine.
