Associates Help Active Heroes Battle Veteran Suicide

On a sprawling retreat south of Louisville, Kentucky, Debi Tribbey was hard at work trying to wrestle with a group of vines, which formed a stranglehold on a section of fencing.

Penske Logistics Receives U.S. EPA SmartWay Excellence Award

For the fourth time this decade, Penske Logistics has been honored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its sustainability efforts, collecting a 2019 SmartWay Excellence Award in the Truck Carrier category. Penske Logistics also attained SmartWay awards in 2018, 2017 and 2013.

The Penske Logistics Premier Driver Recognition Program honored 44 safe truck drivers in the United States and Canada as part of the 2019 Platinum and Gold classes. The Platinum class requirements include 15 consecutive years of safe driving and the Gold class recognizes those with 10 consecutive years of safe driving.

Penske Truck Leasing is growing its electric vehicle fleet with the addition of the Kalmar Ottawa Electric Terminal Tractor (T2E). The introduction of these new all-electric commercial vehicles into Penske’s fleet is another in a series of recent moves the company has undertaken to test and showcase innovative electric vehicles and help bring them to market.

Young professionals see working within the supply chain as an exciting career option and said there are good opportunities for advancement or promotions. The majority of respondents taking part in the 2019 Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals/Penske Logistics Young Professionals Survey, which surveyed more than 100 supply chain professionals under age 30, said they enjoy working in the supply chain and that it makes them content.
